What is a communications plan?

We talked earlier about a communications plan.  This should include a person outside of the home all can contact if separated. This person should also be able to pick up your kids if needed, but make sure that there is a secret password that only you, the kids, and this person know. This will protect your kids from strangers that might take advantage of them.

You also need to keep a copy of all emergency contact information.  This should include phone numbers for schools, police, utility companies, and other important phone numbers.
